This show is a new and exciting concept that pays tribute to a vast area of music that up until now has not been covered by any other 'tribute' band.

Even though women solo artists and woman bands have always featured in Top 40 charts on TV and in movies since recorded music began, there has never been a concept show that has so thoroughly covered the genre. During the 60's and 70's groups like Peter, Paul and Mary, The Seekers and The Mamas and The Papas as well as solo female performers such as Dusty Springfield, Melanie and Karen Carpenter sold millions of records and sold-out hundreds of shows around the world.

This is not a rock show but a concert that relies purely on the female voice and beautiful harmonies backed by acoustic instruments. This beautifully crafted show gives audience the chance to relive the days when one could understand the words of a song.

ABOUT THE PERFORMERS

The Scarlett O’Haras is an acoustic duo consisting of singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist Claire Roberts and singer/percussionist Dorothy Ivery.  The duo is based in Wollongong and wowing their audiences with their fine vocal harmonies and seemingly limitless repertoire.

Belinda Harkness is a three times Musicoz finalist, graduate of the acclaimed Australian College of Country Music and 2006 Toyota Starmaker grand-finalist (Top 10). Belinda is a singer/songwriter who is fast making her mark on the Australian music industry. Her new album Gypsy Girl, produced by Roger Corbett, compiles twelve new original songs and is receiving fantastic reviews.

Allan Vander Linden is the musical director behind the Acoustic Women show. He has been a musician for over 40 years, performing in a variety of musical genres ranging from orchestral pit work to major musical festivals and live-to-air radio work.  He has backed other artists and played in successful rock (Best Rock Band 1980 Australian Musicians Union), country, bush, bluegrass and blues bands.  In 2004  he co-wrote a winning song in the ABC national Fresh Air Competition for unsigned artists.  He was also placed in the Australian Songwriters Awards in 2005 and in top five of the  2005 Musicoz Awards in Blues and Roots category. Quiet achiever and string bass player Paul Drewry has played music professionally most of his life. He has played in a wide variety of bands and is experienced in a variety of styles. Paul also studied music at the Sydney Conservatorium.

Belinda & Tony perform together often however in this tro adding in The Count on drums, they are able to crank it up a notch and bring thier act to Clubs, Hotels, Weddings, Parties and......Well just about anything really!

Performing a wide range of covers from Folk to Funk... From Country to Cruisy. Whatever suits the venue & crowd.

They are regulars on the terrace at Lake Illawarra Hotel and Windang Bowling club and have been seen at many functions across the region over recent years.

Mountain Jam are an acoustic trio based in Wollongong.

We have been described as..... "All your favorites layered in acoustic guitars, mandolin, harmonica & sweet harmonies.

We regularly play Jamberoo Hotel, 46 on Crown, Fontana Restaurant & Bubbly on The Balcony at Corrimal RSL.

Having no drum or specific bass element to the trio we are best suited to a lighter atmosphere such as a Sunday afternoon berr garden/verandah type gig. Or a cafe or cocktail style function.
